How can I start writing a post with just a pen? Well, I don’t.

One of my hesitations with embarking on a writing career is that the inspiration doesn’t always strike just because you pick up your quill. Luckily for me, when it pours out, it does so in abundance and I am able to batch work. Sometimes I’ll get into a flow state for an entire day and I will be able to come up with awesome ideas, great captions, and amazing headlines.

Other days? The tap shuts off. The more I talk to friends in creative fields the more I realize that this is pretty standard. 

Sometimes, simply letting my fingers get to work on the keyboard kickstarts the creative flow, allowing me to dive deep into my imagination and bring some truly brilliant ideas onto the page.

 There is no “formula” for good writing, but when the floodgates open, watch out.
